Volleyball has taught me that every player has an important role, and they all have to work together to be successful. She loves cheering on her teammates, celebrating their accomplishments, and knowing that they can count on each other when things get difficult. She also loves the challenge of volleyball. There is always something new to improve, whether it is serving, passing, hitting, or blocking.
She loves her coaches. She feels like she only gets better with feedback and constructive feedback. Erica Carson, SJ, Denise and Carol Elowsky have been instrumental in her development.
Leila is so very encouraging to her teammates and those who get down on themselves. I love that she builds others up and gives them the okay that its okay to not be perfect.
