What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Lennox loves being part of a team, cheering on her teammates, and working hard to get better every time she steps on the field. She loves the excitement of making a great play or getting a big hit, but she also loves having fun and celebrating with her team. Softball has helped her become more confident and determined, and it has taught her to keep trying even when something is hard.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Lennox is inspired by several amazing women in her life: her cousin Anaston, Coach Kelley, her first-grade teacher Skylar, and Carly. Kelley, Skylar, and Carly all played college softball, showing her what hard work can lead to. At only 16, Anaston has already earned awards and incredible opportunities and inspired Lennox to play catcher. Each of them teaches her to work hard, stay humble, show good sportsmanship, and be a great person as well as a great player.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me proudest is watching Lennox learn what it means to be a leader. Playing shortstop and catcher has taught her to communicate, stay focused, and help guide her teammates. She puts in extra practice and is always working to build her softball IQ. More than anything, I am proud that she cheers for every teammate and celebrates their success just as much as her own.
