What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Lennox loves most about gymnastics is learning new skills and getting better at things that used to be hard for her. She loves doing flips, cartwheels, and routines, but her favorite part is when she finally lands a skill she has been practicing for a long time. She also loves being with her teammates and cheering them on. Gymnastics makes her feel strong, confident, and proud of herself, and she loves how there is always something new to learn!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The people who inspire her the most are her parents, her gymnastics coaches, and her teammates.Her parents inspire her to always try her best, believe in herself, and never give up when something is hard. Her coaches inspire her to work hard and keep practicing, even when she doesn’t get a skill right away. Her teammates inspire her because they encourage her, cheer her on, and remind her that gymnastics is more fun when they support each other. They all help her be a better gymnast and person.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment in her athletic journey that makes me the proudest was when she saw another competitor crying and stopped to comfort her. Instead of worrying about the competition or her own performance, she took the time to make sure the other girl was okay. Watching her show kindness, compassion, and encouragement reminded me that being a great athlete is about so much more than winning. In that moment, I was incredibly proud of the person she is becoming.
