What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreLeo loves making friends and cheering on his teammates. Throughout his 7 years of football, 8 years of baseball, and 5 years of wrestling, he has built countless friendships and created memories that will last a lifetime. Sports have taught Leo the importance of teamwork, encouragement, dedication, and supporting others. No matter the game, Leo is always there to celebrate his teammates, lift others up, and make those around him feel like part of the team.
The person who inspires Leo both on and off the field is his head coach, Jason Flint. Not only is Coach Flint a friend, but he is also a great mentor who continues to work with Leo even during the off-season. Jason’s hard work and dedication are qualities that Leo deeply looks up to, and he hopes to be like him later in his career.
Leo has had many proud moments, but recently one of his biggest highlights was a home run that traveled over 250 feet. He also hit a triple and scored the winning run for his team during a tournament, helping them advance to the championship. Beyond his own success, Leo also gives back to the game by helping with a younger teams. It is inspiring to see him teach the next generation, encourage their involvement in sports, and lead by example.
