One of the proudest moments I’ve experienced as a parent was watching my son play football on the same day he learned that his grandfather had passed away from cancer. Despite the heartbreak, he chose to suit up and play, showing incredible strength and determination. Throughout the game, he gave everything he had and dedicated each of his touchdowns to his grandfather’s memory. Seeing him turn his grief into motivation while honoring someone he loved so deeply made me incredibly proud.
