What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

My son loves the challenge. Every day he goes out and challenges himself to better his talent. He loves the team atmosphere and pushing others to see their abilities. Most of all, he loves seeing the progress of both put to work, team work and hard work.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I would have to say one of his biggest influences is his dad. I know that’s a basic answer, but we both grew up in homes where our athleticism was ignored. We were both great athletes, but didn’t have parents who pushed us to see it ourselves. He looks up to his dad and trusts the process we have provided. On the field, Jordan Walker. He has the same nonchalant attitude and just goes out there to make his family proud. He knows he has talent, but isn’t too proud about it, just like Jordan Walker

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My most proudest moment was watching his first game after training all winter, even in the snow. He gained 10 MPH on his pitching and his batting swing is beautiful. I could watch him swing all day long. I know a lot of moms are bias when it comes to their kids, but I’ve raised 4 boys in the sport of baseball, and I know talent when I feel it. He makes me proud every single day with how he goes out willingly and betters himself.
