What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Levi loves baseball. He is such a team player, always routing for his teammates and respecting his coaches. The friendships he has made is his most favorite part. Additionally, he will play wherever needed, give it his all, and do his best. His other favorite thing to do is hit baseballs as hard and far as he can. He works at this constantly. He also loves to pitch and likes hearing the catchers mitt POP!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His coach. The first time he picked up a baseball he was lucky enough to get a coach who taught him and inspired him to love the game. This coach has built his confidence and skills in a way that makes him feel valued. Now that coach works with him on building his skills. If it hadn’t worked out this way, I’m not sure he would have the love for the game that he does.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

During our all-star tournament, his friend and fellow pitcher battled to finish the game and keep his focus. He was successful but after the game he was emotionally drained. As the teams went to clap hands, he dropped to his knee to get hisself together. Levi was just behind him and stopped, put his hand on his back, and encouraged his friend with a kind word and a smile. That’s what teams are all about.
