What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Levi loves to be out in nature, whether it is roller skiing in the summer months or snow skiing over the winter season. He enjoys taking in everything there is out on the trails all while challenging his body to get stronger everyday. He enjoys his team members and they have truly become family to him. Levi likes that skiing is a team sport where he can be supported and compete with other teams, but that it's still something he can enjoy independently as well.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

There are several upperclassmen on the team that have made a positive impact on Levi's love for skiing. The older kids on his team are very well rounded individuals that help show him the importance of good grades and being a good person all while pushing him to work harder out on the snow. His coaches have also contributed to much of Levi's success throughout his skiing career. They help teach him and push him to do better and encourage him to push himself to be uncomfortable.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Levi is the fastest skier for his age with in our surrounding cities. He pushes himself harder than any kid I know. He was so proud that as an 8th grader last year he made it to sections. He got influenza 2 days before the race. He was so adamant that he was still going to race, so he geared up and went out to race. He was still super sick and he broke a ski pole and he still did amazing. Levi is always striving to do better. Nothing will stop him!
