What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Liam loves most about playing football is the challenge; pushing himself to get better, making quick decisions, competing at the highest level and finding a way to succeed when things get difficult. He especially loves being part of a team, building relationships with his teammates and learning and growing together. For Liam, it's not just about the game. It's about the competition, the leadership, the friendships and constantly challenging himself to be better than he was yesterday.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Liam is inspired by his dad, Coach Sok, and mentors who have invested in him. His dad has been there from the start, teaching the game, introducing mentors and reminding him that talent isn't enough. His quarterback mentor, Coach Zach, and others show him QB success is about preparation, leadership, toughness, confidence and responding to adversity. Liam embraces growth, striving to be a better teammate and a leader while staying humble and grateful.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moments that make me proudest aren't touchdowns or wins. They are the moments when Liam faces adversity and chooses to keep going. I'm proud when he listens, learns, works harder, encourages a teammate and stays humble. Sports are helping to shape him into a resilient, disciplined and compassionate young man. I'm proudest not of the player he's becoming but of the person he's becoming. Because sports are a microcosm of life, teaching him lessons that will carry far beyond the field.
