What Liam loves most about soccer is the challenge. He loves the friendships and the joy of playing, but he lights up when facing players who push him beyond his comfort zone. He doesn’t shy away from players who are better than him; he seeks them out, because every challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow, and become the player he knows he can be.
Liam is inspired by his mom and dad. One thing we’ve always told him is, “For every shot you don’t take, you’ll miss!” And he really lives by that. His mom is his biggest supporter, always reminding him to believe in himself, even when things don’t go his way. We want him to know that whether it’s soccer or life, you have to be willing to take the shot, learn from it, and keep going.
One of Liam’s proudest moments was traveling to Spain to compete in the Little Cup with youth players from around the world. He experienced a new style of soccer, faced unfamiliar competition, pushed himself outside his comfort zone, and made new friends along the way. He came home with more than memories. He returned more confident, more curious, and even more determined to grow as a player.
