Yodier Molina is his biggest inspiration! Liam is a catcher, so his greatest inspiration is the greatest catcher of all time. He will sit and watch YouTube videos and study his plays. Off the field, his still inspires him. Liam has seen the difference that Yodier has made for children back in his home country and Liam wants to be able to make a difference too.
When Liam was 6 years old, we were at our state championship game. He was playing in left field. His family was sitting in the outfield instead of on the bleachers. We were in the last inning and we were only one up on the score board and still needed two outs. Liam turned around and looked at us and said “I’m about to get this kid out and we are gonna win” he turns back around, kid up to bat hits the ball, Liam catches it, throws the ball to second, making a double play and wins the game.
