Lily loves the challenge that comes with soccer - pushing herself to extremes, accomplishing more than she ever thought she could do. She is extremely competitive and never gives up. The rush after a great game is something she loves. Soccer has taught her so much about life. Give it your all. Never give up. Set the bar higher every day. She loves it all!
Honestly, Lily is so disciplined and motivated and sets her standards so high and that motivates her to be the best she can be on and off the field. She is not one to compare herself to others but rather she strives to be better than she was yesterday. Not in an egotistical way but her inspiration comes from within - measuring herself against her high bar and pushing herself further every day.
I would have to say the season that she switched clubs and took a huge step in another direction. She didn’t know anyone, she was invited to play on a team where she was 1-2 years younger than the other players. She worked hard to become a starting midfield player and helped her team make it to nationals. It was amazing time to watch her take a leap of faith and soar!
