What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Lionel eats, lives and breaths basketball. At his young age of 8 he's already been playing up on the grade 4 rep team from the age of 4! For Lionel he loves that there is so much more to continually learn in his love for the game of basketball.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Lionel is inspired of course by some professional basketball players that continually strike his curiosity. Additionally , his uncle and father provide the freedom for lionel to experiment, temporarily fail and strive to permanently succeed.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

We are very proud of Lionel being so young and taking on all aspects of an athlete's life, lifestyle practices, growth mindset and unwavering passion for his game of basketball.
