What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about motocross is the absolute focus and intensity it demands every time the gate drops. Unlike traditional sports with set plays and boundaries, motocross forces you to adapt instantly to a constantly changing track at high speeds where a single split-second decision changes everything. Beyond the adrenaline, I love that every lap rewards hard work, discipline, and grit—there are no shortcuts, and you earn every success through practice and determination.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

God grounds me. Pros like Chase Sexton and Jett Lawrence inspire my speed and skill, while local pros Tyler Gibbs and Shon Wilson drive home that never-quit attitude during our training. Their hands-on coaching directly reflects the ultimate example of grit my dad modeled through 30 years as an enlisted Marine. Guided by my faith, relentless local coaching, and my dad's enduring discipline, I learn to never back down or give up, on or off the track.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

His growth rate is what blows me away. In just 2.5 years of racing, his work ethic has allowed him to catch and pass kids who've ridden since age five. Watching him shake off tough crashes and double down on his training to clear the big triple at Washougal proves how fast he’s evolving. Seeing that explosive technical growth paired with a huge smile on his face after conquering a goal makes me proudest.
