Most of all, he finds it exciting and rewarding to see his hard work pay off through each small success and improvement along the way.
Luca is especially inspired by basketball player Luka Dončić. He admires his confidence, creativity, and ability to make his teammates better. Watching Luka reminds him that becoming a great player takes hard work, persistence, and a willingness to keep improving. He inspires Luca to work on his own game and to be a strong, supportive teammate.
One of the things that makes me proudest of Luca is that he has never given up, even when things haven’t gone his way. There were times when he had to sit on the bench while he continued developing his skills, but he never became discouraged or wanted to quit. Instead, he saw it as motivation to work harder and get better. Watching him turn disappointment into determination has made me incredibly proud of both the athlete and person he is becoming.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
