What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He simply loves to play. Basketball is more than a sport to him, it’s what he talks about, practices, watches and dreams about every day. He loves competing, learning new skills, making his teammates better and seeing his hard work pay off. His biggest dream is to one day play in the NBA, and even at 8 years old, he approaches every practice, game and workout with that dream in mind

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His biggest inspiration on the court are his coaches, Justin and Moe. He admires that both coaches are stern when he makes mistakes, but they never talk down or disrespect him or his teammates. Instead, they show them what they did wrong and demonstrate how to do it better. Coach Justin and Moe have taught him that making mistakes is part of learning and that the best athletes listen, work hard, and keep improving.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes us proudest is when he played in a three-game tournament, went straight to practice that evening, and then stayed afterward for an additional skills clinic. After a full day of basketball, he was still eager to work and get better. His endurance and mindset reminded us that his passion goes far beyond simply playing the game, he truly loves the process of becoming a better athlete.
