What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Lucas is defined by his heart, grit, and determination. Whether on the soccer field or hockey rink, getting knocked down, overlooked, or facing a setback only makes him work harder. Long drives, late nights, tough practices, and disappointments fuel his drive to improve. But his character shows most in how he encourages his teammates, celebrates their success, and keeps fighting no matter the score. He is resilient, determined, and always team-first.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Lucas would pick Sidney Crosby and Christian Pulisic because they are talented, hardworking athletes who put their teams first. Crosby leads by example, plays with grit, and makes the players around him better. Pulisic has shown determination and resilience while competing at the highest level. Lucas admires that both have faced pressure and setbacks but continue to work, compete, and never give up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

During a soccer game, Lucas's team was on a losing streak and found themselves behind again. Instead of hanging his head, every time a teammate made a great touch, pass, or play, Lucas would yell, "Pretty!" Then he'd point at them and shout, "No, you're pretty!" Soon the whole team was laughing, encouraging one another, and the energy completely changed. I even heard another parent say, "That Lu is a special kid." They battled back to score two unanswered goals and earned a tie.
