What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Cheer isn't just a sport to our family—it's a way of life. It's where my girls have learned that success comes from dedication, trust, and believing in each other. They love the excitement of performing, but what they cherish most is the feeling of being part of something bigger than themselves. Every practice, every setback, every victory, and every teammate has helped shape who they are. Cheer has given them confidence, lifelong friendships, and lessons they'll carry long after.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My girls draw inspiration from the people who challenge them to be better every day—their coaches, teammates, and themselves. Mental blocks are a real thing in this sport. Watching others overcome obstacles, stay committed, and support those around them reminds them that greatness isn't measured by wins. It's measured by character, resilience, and the impact you have on the people around you.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me most proud isn't the medals they win or the skills they perform—it's the young women they're becoming. Cheer has helped shape them, teaching them discipline, accountability, teamwork, and how to lift others up. My girls are 10 and 11 and are competing at college level. Watching them give up so much of their childhood and replace it with a passion makes me incredibly proud. Watching every fall, and all their frustration turn into commitment and dedication makes me proud.
