She enjoys the dynamic of being on a team and the communication that is involved in volleyball and that it’s not a one person game, it’s truly a team effort. She loves the intensity of a good volley and loves a good comeback moment. She loves cheering for her teammates and loves the opportunity to step up and serve in a close game.
Her biggest inspiration is Laney Chaboy and Harper Murray on Nebraska volleyball. She looks up to Laney because of her hustle and drive as a libero and she looks up to Harper because of her prior struggles early on in the game and being able to overcome them with the support of her coach and team and now she’s a strong player and a role model for young girls.
6th grade year she tried out and didn’t make the team but continued to show up for practices as a manager. At the end of summer coaches gave her a jersey and told her they wanted her on the team and were impressed with her attitude and drive. She’s hit the ground running ever since.
