What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves the challenge that cheer gives her. As someone who struggled with anxiety when she was younger, cheer was just different for her. It gave her a place where she could push herself, grow, and truly feel confident. Watching her step onto that mat to compete is like watching a completely different person. The nerves disappear, and what you see is a girl full of confidence, determination, strength, and an undeniable drive to help her team succeed. I’m so proud of the person she is becoming.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I am inspired by Jasmine Tolson because she has been more than just my coach. She has coached me since 8th grade and has pushed me to become the best athlete and person I can be. She has challenged me when I wanted to give up, supported me through difficult moments, and believed in me every step of the way. She has taught me the value of hard work, determination, confidence, and never giving up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes me the proudest was the year she was my junior coach. I got to watch her pour her love for this sport into those little athletes. Watching her encourage them, challenge them, and push them to believe in themselves and strive to be better was truly beautiful. She wasn’t just teaching them cheer she was teaching them confidence, perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of never giving up. Watching her become a role model for those girls is something I’ll never forget
