Learn MoreMaelee loves gymnastics because she loves challenging herself and learning new skills. She enjoys pushing herself to be better, the excitement of competing, and being part of a team. Most of all, she loves the feeling of accomplishing something she worked really hard for and seeing herself grow as a gymnast.
Maelee is inspired by her gymnastics coaches, teammates, and the Olympic-level gymnasts she has had the opportunity to learn from. They inspire her to work hard, never give up, and keep pushing herself to reach her goals. Her family also inspires her by supporting and encouraging her every step of the way.
One moment that makes me proudest is watching Maelee step outside of her comfort zone and continue to push herself, even when something is difficult. Seeing her work hard, overcome challenges, and accomplish skills she once thought were impossible makes me incredibly proud—not just of the gymnast she is becoming, but of the determination and confidence she shows along the way.
