The mid 90s early 2000s Tiger Woods. She learned the basics of golf via YouTube watching Tiger Woods dominate the sport. The fact that he was a minority in a majority sport spoke volumes to her. If he could do it she believed she could do it.
The 2026 regional tournament she was in first place going into the 12th hole. She triple bogey the 12th hole dropping down to 11th place. The next hole she eagled, then birdied, par, par, birdie, par. She finished 2nd place and a trip to the state championship. To see her battle mentally and persevering was my proudest moment.
