Learn MoreWhat she loves most about basketball is the feeling of competing, improving and being part of a team. She enjoys turning teammates into family and bringing everyone up when even she feels down. She enjoys challenging herself and learning from every game and practice. Basketball gives her the opportunity to push herself l, build confidence and make memories.
She is inspired by her family, coaches and other athletes who have shown her dedication. She has one coach in particular, who has encouraged her to be the best she can and she calls him and his family her own, he's shared his wisdom and skills with her helping push her to grow and stay disciplined he's taught her to respect her coaches, refs, and other athletes, she feels as if he's helped her become a better player and person.
One of the moments that makes me proudest is how much she's grown as a basketball player through her hard work and dedication, she works a part time job and still makes time for basketball 5 days out of the week, if she isn't practicing she's training, watching her continue to push herself has made me challenge myself. Even when things get difficult she's there for her team. I'm most proud not just of the player she is becoming but of the determination l, discipline and confidence she shows.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
