What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreMalachi loves the excitement, competition, and teamwork that come with playing sports. He especially loves football because he gets to run, make plays, challenge himself, and help his team succeed. Starting young gives him the opportunity to learn, improve his skills, and become faster, stronger, and better as he gets older. Most of all, he loves having fun and growing as an athlete.
Malachi is inspired by Justin Jefferson because of his talent, confidence, hard work, and dedication to football. He looks up to the way Justin competes and continues to improve. Off the field, his mother and sister inspires him by supporting his dreams, encouraging him to work hard, stay focused, and never give up. That support motivates Malachi to keep becoming a better athlete and young man.
One of my proudest moments was receiving the email invitation stating Malachi had been selected to play in the All-American Bowl in Florida. Seeing his hard work, dedication, and love for football earn him that opportunity at such a young age made me extremely proud. It showed him that his effort is paying off and that if he stays focused, works hard, and believes in himself, his possibilities are endless.
