What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Malachi loves the freedom that soccer gives him. He loves using his speed on the wing, creating scoring opportunities, and celebrating with his teammates after a great play. More than anything, he loves to score goals, and enjoys learning something new every practice and seeing himself improve. Soccer has taught him confidence, discipline, and that hard work always pays off.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Malachi is inspired by his dad. Watching his father work hard, chase his dreams as a musician, and never give up despite being born with a serious heart condition has taught Malachi what perseverance looks like. He sees that success comes from consistency, faith, and believing in yourself even when life gets difficult. That example motivates him every time he steps onto the field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes me proudest isn’t a goal he scored, it’s seeing the way he responds to challenges. When things don’t go his way, he doesn’t quit. He listens to his coaches, encourages his teammates, and comes back ready to work harder. Watching him grow into a respectful, coachable young athlete who loves the game has been far more rewarding than any trophy.
