What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Mason is 14yrs old and already almost 6’9”…Everywhere he goes he literally stands out, but on the court he is in his happy place where he belongs and life just slows down for him. He has challenges with Dyslexia & ADHD but basketball has helped him find who he truly is inside and has helped him become a Leader and a young man the whole community can count on. He is a people pleaser and nothing pleases him more than making his loved ones and hometown proud!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Mason is inspired by all that his basketball hero’s do on and off the court to make this a better world. Mason loves children and you can see him glow when he's around them & the love he gets back is priceless. He says he wants to teach after basketball. Mason mirrors the hard work & commitment of his father, a US Army Infantry Combat Veteran & he uses that training & life lessons shared to help shape his own character. He is one in a million & destined to help make this a better world for all.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

As a US Army Combat Veteran I have to say seeing my son Mason draped in the American flag this summer at the 2026 Paris World Games standing proud, hoisting up the Championship trophy with a Gold medal around his neck. It gave me goosebumps & it was a very proud moment for our family. Amongst the celebration & laughter, I could actually see a future of him in my head with many more trophies hoisted over his head, celebrating w/ his Teammates. Moments like this is what it’s all about…Priceless!
