Professional athletes or past experiences on and off the field really motivate me to be the best player and athlete as much as i can, always thinking about what i would’ve thought about myself when i was little.
Watching Mateo continue to work hard, compete, and grow as an athlete has given me so many proud moments, but seeing his dedication start to be recognized is something I’ll never forget. Being named a Top Outfielder in California was special, not because of the title itself, but because I know how much work, sacrifice, and determination went into earning it. As his mom, watching him chase his goals and believe in himself makes me prouder than any award ever could.
