What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Mattheu is super passionate about both basketball and track since birth. Coming from Jamaican ancestry he is inspired by Usain Bolt, and has won every race thus far.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Mattheu is inspired by his love of the game. Whether he is doing drills or just playing with his friends he gives his utmost to the game, and is a good teammate as well.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Mattheu won both his 200m relay and 200 meter race on the same day in spring 2026. He won the 200m and fell right after crossing the finish line then went on to take home the win for the relay, despite his injuries. He recovers from disappointments quickly which makes him a great sportsman.
