What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Matthew loves the game of basketball. He loves working with his teammates, and using his speed to get down the court. Getting a victory with his friends and celebrating at the end of the game.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He looks up to his Dad. His dad gives him confidence and understanding of what needs to be adjusted in his game. His dad is his biggest fan besides me, his mom. Matthew confides in his dad for life questions and goals.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment that makes us the proudest in our son, is seeing him be confident and not fear the game just because he’s the shortest. He doesn’t let his height deter him from playing with his whole heart.
