Max’s bible study leader, Dale Rule, inspires him on and off the field because he is a role model time after time of setting goals and finding the grit when things get tough to persevere through and not give up. In addition, Max’s “Uncle” by choice, Brice Sykes, because he always believes in Max reminds Max that the Lord is with him, and that Max is a leader!
Max is a leader off the field as well. He’s been recognized by his teachers for supporting, encouraging, and celebrating teammates in the halls when they need to be lifted up. He knows that teamwork is just as important off the field as it is on the field- that’s what makes a team successful.
