McKenzie’s coaches inspire her both on and off the court. They believe in her, push her to work harder, and remind her that being a great athlete is about more than winning. Through their example, she has learned discipline, teamwork, leadership, accountability, and how to keep going when things get tough. Their encouragement has helped her grow into a stronger player and a more confident, caring young woman.
The moment McKenzie is proudest of was stepping back onto the softball field after three years away while continuing to give her heart to volleyball, the sport she loves most. Returning took courage, but she embraced the challenge and played like she had never left. Balancing both sports showed her that passion, hard work, and the courage to try again can make her stronger on the court, on the field, and in life.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
