Learn MoreMekhia loves how both soccer and track challenges her and forces her to build a strong mindset and mental. Soccer is a team sport so when she’s on the field she looks to find the best possible way to score and track is a solo but team sport so she tries to push past her limits to win.
The biggest inspiration for me is probably seeing the smiles on my teammates faces when we score or win at the meets. Seeing their joy is a one of a kind feeling and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
One moment in Mekhia’s athletic journey that makes me the proudest is seeing her try even when the odds are against her. It really shows me how resilient she is.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
