Learn MoreMia loves that golf is as much a mental challenge as a physical one. Every round gives her a new opportunity to compete with herself, learn, and improve. She loves the feeling of seeing her hard work show up on the course and knowing that one difficult hole never has to define the rest of her round.
Mia is inspired by the people who support her and push her to believe in herself, especially her family, coaches, and teammates. She admires people who work hard without needing recognition and who keep going when things get difficult. They remind her that success isn’t just about winning—it’s about discipline, character, and how you respond to challenges.
One of my proudest moments has been watching Mia step into a new school and golf program as a junior and continue to compete with confidence. Starting over isn’t easy, but she embraced the challenge instead of letting it intimidate her. I’m proud of her scores, but I’m even prouder of the resilience, courage, and determination she’s shown along the way.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
