What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What she loves most about softball is the family, friendships, and confidence it has given her. She loves being part of a team, competing, learning, and encouraging other girls to play. Softball helped her break out of her shyness and become a leader who motivates her friends to stay focused and choose sports. Most of all, she loves the feeling of making her family proud while growing as an athlete and as a person.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My stepfather inspired my love for softball by letting me watch him play, and my mother’s stories about playing in high school made me want to create my own softball journey. They taught me to work hard, never give up and every game a lesson. My coaches, teammates, and friends also inspire me to be a leader, support others, and show that with dedication, confidence, and heart, you can accomplish anything.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes me proudest is seeing how far I’ve come since I was the shy girl who was afraid to step out of her comfort zone. I tried out for my school softball team, joined travel softball, and found my voice as a leader. this weekend at our championship game.
