On the field, Michael is inspired by athletes who lead through hard work, discipline, and teamwork. Off the field, his Mother, Father and his disabled cousin JJ has inspire him to be a positive role model for his younger brother, nephews, teammates, and other young athletes.
One of my proudest moments was watching him overcome adversity after playing only 6 of 11 games. Despite the limited season, he threw for 1,000 yards, rushed for 1,500 yards, and earned All-State recognition as both Offensive, Defensive Player of the Year and MVP. What makes me proudest is that he never made excuses—he kept working, accepted coaching, and made every opportunity count.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
