Michael loves football because it demands everything from him. Speed, strength, intelligence, courage, discipline, and trust in his teammates all matter on every snap. He loves studying receivers, reading formations, competing one-on-one, and making plays his team depends on. After fighting through a major knee injury, every practice and game means more. Football gives purpose to the early mornings, painful rehab, missed events, and countless hours he has invested in becoming his best.
Michael’s faith in God is the foundation of how he approaches both sports and life. It reminds him to stay humble in success, keep working through adversity, and treat others with respect. He is also inspired by his parents, whose sacrifices, encouragement, and example have never wavered, and by coaches who have challenged him to become a better athlete, teammate, and leader. Together, they have shaped the person he is becoming.
After rupturing both patellar tendons, Michael faced the possibility that he might never return as the same athlete. He attacked nearly a year of rehab with discipline, positivity and never let the setback define him. Eleven months later, he returned stronger, adding 18 pounds of muscle, running a laser-timed 4.61 forty, benching 230 pounds, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and earning interest from top academic football programs. His comeback is the moment that makes us proudest.
