Milia’s second year at States is my proudest moment. After losing her first girls match in the final four seconds, she was devastated. She had given it her all and dreamed of first place. But she found the strength to regroup and never lost another match that day. She finished 1st in the boys bracket, 3rd in the girls bracket, and earned her 100th career pin. I was proudest not of the medals, but of her resilience, heart, and determination to never give up.
