What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreMorgan loves being in the water, training, and competing with his friends.
Morgan's inspiration was his Caretaker, Carie Whitebirch. She loved the water and was a competitive swimmer. When Morgan was a baby he became extremely scared of the H2O when he was enrolled in survival swimming and wouldn't go in anymore. She would calmly sit with him in the pool as he thrashed and clawed at her neck and soothe him until he relaxed. She worked with him until his fears went away and then started taking him to swim lessons. She'd advocate for him and got him on his 1st swim team.
Morgan's first time competing at Hartford Nationals. He earned four gold medals, one silver, and broke three national records. That's when I knew this kids got real talent and our journey to the national team began.
