What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

They love the passion and love that wrestling brings out in people. Wrestling takes a lot of dedication and effort, it brings out a different kind of fire in athletes that make them work their hardest to get better. That kind of fire is what she is attracted to and strives very hard to keep progressing.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

She is fully inspired by God and the loved ones around her that push her. She loves the sport a lot to work hard in it but it's God who gives her strength and her teammates and coaches who push her a mile farther. She takes a lot of example from her state champ team at Quince Orchard Highschool who all push and support each other to work harder.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When Mya was invited to train and compete on the 2026 Maryland Women's National Team. This achievement was a testament of her growth as a daughter, a student, and an athlete and I was extremely grateful and proud of her accomplishments on and off the mat that got her there.
