What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Nash loves the challenge and excitement of competition, but he especially loves learning new skills and seeing himself improve. In breakdancing, he loves expressing himself through movement and creativity. In soccer, basketball, and flag football, he loves being part of a team, making plays, and celebrating with his teammates. Most of all, sports are a way for Nash to have fun, challenge himself, and always work toward his next goal.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Nash is inspired by B-Boy Ronnie Abaldonado and his impact on the breaking community. Seeing Ronnie represent the sport on the Olympic stage has inspired Nash to dream bigger. Nash recently joined a competitive hip-hop team to continue growing as a breaker, developing his creativity, musicality, and performance. He hopes to keep competing, improving, and one day inspire other kids the way Ronnie inspires him.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

As a parent, I was incredibly proud when Nash made the 2nd–3rd grade soccer team while still in 1st grade. Seeing him compete against older kids with confidence and determination showed me how hard he was willing to work. That same drive carried into breakdancing, where he pushed himself to qualify for the Junior Olympics. Watching him set big goals, step outside his comfort zone, and prove to himself that he belongs among older, more experienced athletes has been one of the most rewarding parts
