What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What he loves most about volleyball is the challenge of constantly becoming better. Every practice, every game and every opponent gives him another opportunity to push himself, learn and grow. He loves the energy of competition, teamwork it takes to succeed. Volleyball has taught him discipline, confidence, resilience and how to perform under pressure. Most of all, he loves proving that with hard work, dedication and heart there is always another level to reach.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

One of his biggest inspirations is a former teammate whose work ethic showed him what it truly means to be dedicated. Watching him consistently put in extra effort, stay focused, and push not only himself but others to improve has taught him that talent can only take you so far. That example motivates him to work harder, remain disciplined and never become satisfied with where he is there is always another level to reach.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments was watching him earn Second Team All-State and First Team All-Conference as a freshman. Being the only freshman to receive those honors showed that his countless hours of practice, discipline and determination were paying off. More than the recognition itself, I was proud to see him realize that he belonged among the best and that his hard work could take him as far as he dreams.
