What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat he loves most about track is the feeling of getting better and seeing all his hard work pay off. He loves competing, pushing himself to run faster, and chasing new PRs. He also enjoys the feeling of being part of a team, especially when running relays. Most of all, he loves knowing that every practice and every race is helping him get closer to his goals.
The people who inspire him the most on and off the field are his parents. They are always there to support him, push him when things get difficult, and remind him not to give up. Seeing how hard they work motivates him to work hard in track and in life. He wants to make them proud and show them that all their support means something.
One moment in his athletic journey that makes me the proudest is when he competed at Adidas Track Nationals and got a PR. Seeing him compete at that level and perform better than he had before showed how much his hard work and dedication were paying off. I was proud because he didn’t just show up he went out there, competed, and proved to himself that he belonged.
