What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreNicholas loves competing, but even more, he loves the work it takes to improve. Basketball has taught him that nothing is given—you earn it through discipline, repetition and effort. He can spend hours practicing, then still want one more drill or one more shot. He loves being part of a team, pushing his teammates, and seeing hard work turn into results.
Nicholas is inspired by athletes who are relentless in their pursuit of greatness. He admires players who weren't simply handed success, but earned it through discipline, sacrifice and countless hours when nobody was watching. That mindset motivates him to work harder every day—not just to become a better basketball player, but to become a better teammate, student and person.
I'm proudest not of one game or trophy, but of the work Nicholas puts in when nobody is watching. He has won championships and earned MVP honors, but what stands out is his relentless drive. He will practice for hours, come home exhausted, and still want to improve. Watching him learn that success is earned through discipline, consistency and heart makes me incredibly proud.
