Noah loves competing and being challenged. Whether it’s baseball or basketball, he wants to play against the best competition he can find, even when that means playing with and against much older athletes. He loves the feeling of improving a skill, seeing hard work translate into performance, and finding out just how good he can become.
His parents inspire him because both competed at the Division I level, his dad as an All-American decathlete and his mom as a high jumper and sprinter. He has grown up understanding that athletic ability can create opportunities, but discipline, attitude, preparation, and consistency determine what you do with them. He wants to build on the gifts he was given and see how far his own work ethic can carry him.
It’s hard to pick just one. Watching Noah earn a high school JV baseball spot as a seventh grader and compete against Houston high school players all year was special because he proved he could hold his own against much older athletes. Then, watching him dunk a basketball before even entering eighth grade showed us just how unusual his overall athletic development had become. What makes us proudest, though, is that every new milestone only seems to make him want to work harder.
