What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What he loves most about playing basketball is simply that it’s fun. When he steps onto the basketball court, you can see how much he genuinely enjoys playing. He loves competing, being part of a team, and having the opportunity to play the sport he enjoys so much. He also loves the challenge that comes with the game. There’s always something happening and he’s constantly learning how to read the game, make quick decisions and figure out what’s best in the moment for his team.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The person who inspires him most, both on and off the court, is Stephen Curry. He admires how Curry can shoot three pointers from such long distances. He also loves Curry’s personality and unique celebrations he does when something goes well during a game. Off the court, Curry was able to step outside of basketball and take on the role as an actor in the movie, The GOAT. The movie quickly became one of his favorites because it combined two things he loves: basketball and Stephen Curry.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment he’s most proud of was receiving the Sportsmanship award on the same day his team won first place. Celebrating a season ending victory was already special, but being recognized by his coach made the day more meaningful. It was rewarding to see his hard work pay off and know that his effort, attitude and the way he supported his team were noticed. It’s not just about winning, but also the kind of teammate you are.
