What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves the challenge! She gets excited learning new movements, pushing herself to do things she couldn’t do before, and seeing how strong she can become. She also loves the energy, encouragement, and fun of being active. Whether she’s learning something new or giving it her all, she loves the feeling of accomplishing something she worked hard for.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Nuri is inspired most by her mom and dad. Her dad is a fitness enthusiast who shows her the value of staying active, working hard, and challenging herself. Her mom encourages her to believe in herself and never give up. She looks up to strong, disciplined athletes who encourage others. Together, they teach her that being a great athlete is about hard work, confidence, kindness, being a good teammate, and having a positive attitude—not just winning.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Watching Nuri walk into CrossFit for the first time and immediately give it everything she had made me incredibly proud. She was brand new, surrounded by movements she had never done before, but she didn’t shy away from the challenge. She listened, learned quickly, kept pushing when things got hard, and finished with that huge smile. Seeing her confidence grow in just two weeks has been amazing.
