What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Nycari loves most about playing sports is the competition, the adrenaline, and the feeling of pushing himself to be better. He loves being on the field, making plays, working with his teammates, and proving what he can do. Most of all, he loves the challenge of football and the opportunity to chase his dream of playing at the next level.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Nycari is inspired most by his family, especially his mom, who pushes him to believe in himself and never give up. On the field, he is inspired by the athletes he looks up to and the dream of becoming a professional football player. Off the field, his family reminds him why he works so hard and encourages him to stay focused, humble, and determined. His biggest motivation is knowing that every practice, every game, and every challenge brings him one step closer to the future he sees for himself.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

To know Nycari is to know he is already a pro in his mind! Since he was 5, when he told me, “Ma, I want to play football,” he has done nothing but PLAY BALL. Football isn’t the only sport—any ball he gets, he gives it his all. I’ll never forget when he was tackled so hard on turf that his skin came off. I tried to keep him out of practice, but he told his coach, " I’m a dog. Tell my mama I can practice!” That determination, toughness, and passion have been in him ever since. Sports are more.
