Oliver is nine years old and follow orders and instructions readily. Recently, though, especially with tennis, he is inquiring why certain methods are more efficient so that he can understand the reasoning behind the instructions. This tells me that Oliver is becoming aware of techniques and applying them rather than just following commands.
