What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Olivia's life is basketball. She has dreams and goals. There is nothing she would rather do. She is such a leader on the team. She is always encouraged by her coaches to be the best she can be, they see a fire in her. She is an absolute beast at any sport she plays, but she has found the one that she loves. She loves her teammates and she loves her coaches. My childs drive is off the charts. She plays selfless and with grit. Such dedication and such a big heart!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her inspiration, it is to be a good person in life and on the court. She is truly inspired by many things including herself because she knows what she is capable of. She plays up and plays well beyond her years. Her teammates, trainers, coaches and teachers at her school are the people who inspire her every day. She puts the work in, on and off the court to be the best she can be. She is also inspired by other players she has met at her college prep middle school. And welcomes any challenge!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Olivia is amazing and has become a true leader. I'm so very proud of her in every way. She went down hard and got three fractures in her back. Showed up to every single game & practice to watch for 3 months on the bench. 30 minutes early, like always. She would say mom, I need to be there for my team and to watch the plays because I don't wanna miss anything. For those entire 3 months, her doctor and physical therapist said she could not play, but she still showed up for herself and her team
