Despite sustaining navicular bone issue and broken sesamoid bone, Olivia remains focused, works hard, and dominates on and off the court.
Thank you for supporting Olivia in this competition. Your participation made a huge impact for the Why Not You Foundation and their mission to empower change in the world, one individual at a time and one child at a time.
What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreShe loves to work together with her teammates, she is very good at lifting up and motivating her peers.
I believe her coach Tay fisher inspires her, he grew up in a tough environment to not only becoming a great basketball player in college he also was a Harlem globetrotter. Not only does he coach he gives back to communities by speaking to students within schools in regards to antibullying, he mentors kids all while caring for his two children. I believe her mom and dad also inspires her, they train, film, and try to make every game possible and hold Olivia to a very high standard.
Olivia made freshman school team in 7th grade played very well but then suffered a broken sesamoid bone in her big toe towards the end of her season, she was very anxious to get back out there. Although she could not play she sat on the bench and cheered on her teammates for the remainder of the season. I was very proud on how she handled herself mentally and physically. Olivia still had some discomfort after recovery but you could never tell she is a work horse.
